An intense red ruby colour with violet reflection. The nose is very fruity with notes of ripe cherry and a light toasty character. Warm and softly fruity in the mouth with rounded tannins.

The Brindisi DOP takes its name from the city of the same name on the Adriatic Coast; founded in the XVI Century BC; part of the Roman empire and at the end of the famous Via Appia. Today it is a land of vines and olive trees interspersed with farmsteads (Masserias) and ancient watchtowers.
The name Camarda comes from a region close to Brindisi.
The wine is made from from a blend of Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera grapes picked at maturity; the typical Salento region blend. The vineyard soils are deep and a mixture of clay and limestone; rich in organic matter.
The grapes are harvested in late September and macerated in the horizontal rotatory tanks before being aged in French oak barriques for 6 months.
